#8 PUNCH 2012 MUSEUM 6 PACK
An instant MUSEUM STOCK cellar from the 2012 vintage of Punch wines. A fantastic way to appreciate how gracefully and deliciously Lance's Vineyard wines age. Very limited quantities, remarkable value!
Grown by us on our historic and iconic Lance's Vineyard, established 1976, one of the oldest vineyard in the Nillumbik subregion of the Yarra Valley. Time has shown this vineyard to consistently be one of Australia's most distinguished sites.
2012 Punch Lance's Vineyard Chardonnay x 1
“From a small '77 planting, and a larger (0.8ha) one in '84; wild yeast-fermented; 160 dozen made. Given its alcohol, the intensity and depth of the white flesh stone fruits comes as a surprise, albeit a very pleasant one; balanced acidity and creamy cashew notes give complexity and balance. 96 Points" Halliday Wine Companion
2012 Punch Lance's Vineyard Pinot Noir x 1
“Full colour; hand-picked and wild yeast-fermented; fully mature vines and decades of experience are very obvious with the very fragrant and complex bouquet of black cherry and plum; the palate follows suit, but its great quality is its sheer length and balance. 96 Points” Halliday Wine Companion
2012 Punch Lance's Vineyard Close Planted Pinot Noir x 1
"The '89 planting with a 1m x 1.2m spacing; wild yeast-fermented, and neither fined nor filtered. Deep crimson; this has incredible tension and energy within its ultra-long palate, savoury/spicy/foresty/stemmy nuances embroidered on the dark cherry fruit, tannins an extra bonus. 97 Points" Halliday Wine Companion
2012 Punch Lance's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon x 3
“From the '76 planting of 0.4ha, with only 40 dozen made (less than two barriques); wild-fermented, neither filtered nor fined. Good things come in small packages: its colour is vibrant, and I am not the least put off by the touch of mint underlying the cassis fruit, cedar oak and tannins just where they should be. 95 Points” Halliday Wine Companion
These wines, being unfiltered, may have developed a slight deposit in the bottle, so settling and careful pouring/decanting is recommended.
