2019 CHARDONNAY
Our Estate Vineyard. Old vines and fastidious viticulture produce fruit that sings a song of both place and variety.
After originally planting just two rows of Chardonnay in 1977, the results inspired planting a further 0.8 Hectares in 1984. These vines are hand pruned, dressed and harvested. Made without added yeast, fining or filtration, this wine is estate bottled, with a limited production of 2,700 bottles.

Halliday Wine Companion - Philip Rich
From vines planted in 1984 in Nillumbik. Whole-bunch pressed directly to barrel (30% new). Natural ferment with zero mlf. Matured 10 months in oak. A bright green gold. White peaches and nectarine, some lemon oil, yuzu and citrus blossom together with hints of oatmeal biscuit. This has terrific drive, with a savoury edge complementing the textured, layered palate. Finished long and satisfying. 13% alc. Rating 93
The Winefront - Campbell Mattinson
Vines planted in 1984. 2700 bottles made. The bottle I tasted was 0727.
This is a richer style, fruit and oak, and an absolutely convincing one. Nectarine, popcorn butter, grilled peach and pine notes come complemented by citrus blossom and oatmeal. There’s all that flavour but there’s also excellent drive and energy; it’s a sporty saloon of a wine. It satisfies. It impresses. Rated : 94 Points
